MANNA volunteers pick up the meals in specially designed insulated trays at the Riverview Regional Medical Center
from 10:15 to
11:00 a.m. and deliver them to the homes of clients. They use their own vehicles at their own expense.
MANNA is a non-profit corporation, organized by local people. It's purpose is to meet the nutritional needs of homebound people who are unable to provide an adequate diet for themselves and have no one else to do it for them.
The Board of Directors, composed of local people from all walks of life, determines the overall administration of the program. They are responsible for raising funds to administer the program and provide meals for clients who are unable to pay for them.
MANNA'S workforce consists of over 165 volunteers and 3 part-time employees.
Duyen Stokes, Director, oversees the day to day operation. They are responsible for organizing the volunteers and seeing that the meals are ordered and delivered each day.
Riverview Regional Medical Center has donated office space and telephones. |
